Day 2 is tailored for practice owners, practice managers, and healthcare leaders who want to strengthen the business and operational side of general practice. Ideal for those involved in running or managing a practice, these sessions provide practical insights into finance, sustainability, and improving overall business performance.

The IMS & Far North Day Hospital GP Conference 2026 will be held at Crystalbrook Riley, Cairns, located along the iconic Esplanade in the heart of the city. This centrally located venue offers easy access to nearby dining, accommodation, and waterfront attractions.

Complimentary accommodation will be available for attendees of the event who are joining us for both Day 1 and Day 2.*
*Please note that while we will do our best to accommodate booking requests, priority will be given to attendees travelling from outside the region, and availability may be limited. Should accommodation at Crystalbrook Riley be unavailable, alternative arrangements may be made at Crystalbrook Flynn or Crystalbrook Bailey.

Continuing Professional Development
This conference is designed as a professional educational activity aligned with the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements for General Practitioners.

RACGP Members
RACGP members may be eligible to self-record CPD hours for attendance at this event, in line with self-directed educational activities. Attendees can log their participation via the myCPD platform using the Quick Log function, recording the activity under the relevant CPD category (e.g. Educational Activities). It is recommended that participants retain supporting documentation, such as a certificate of attendance or conference program, for audit purposes.

ACRRM Members
An application for formal CPD accreditation with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) is currently in progress. Accreditation is subject to review against the ACRRM CPD framework and approval processes.
